These boots were made for....
WALKING! Well at least bare feet are in this case. She did it! Our little Maddie girl is walking! I was afraid I would miss it and I did. Mike was home and got it on video so I could at least see it.

Fantasy Basebrawl!
Well, today is the big draft. In little over an hour, I will be entering the world of fantasy baseball. Do I have any idea of what I am doing, NO! Do I have any idea of points and sats, NO! Do I know who these players are, Kinda! Am I looking forward to trash talking my husband for the entire season, YES!!!! So here is the to the Backyard Players kicking some butt!

The Country Life
We went over to parents last night for dinner and because Milo has been asking to ride his green tractor. Well, it looks like someone else wanted to ride it! 
She is my little independent dare devil! 
Milo wanted to get up on the big tractor so we let him. I think my kids like the country life.

Farmer's Market
We have been wanting to go to the local Farmer's Market, so on Saturday we decided no more excuses. We packed the van with strollers, hats, snacks, the kids and our neighbor. I wasn't expecting it to be much since the Farmer's Market here in town is very small. This Market seemed like a cross between a regular Farmer's Market and a Craft Festival. 
We had so much fun. They had a wide selection of fresh Florida produce, Farm fresh organic eggs and meat. I picked up two bunches of broccoli and two eggplants for only $5.00. I had just grocery shopped so I didn't need much, but this week I will be doing my produce shopping there. Homemade breads, organic coffees, homemade beef jerky and boiled peanuts, locally grown honey and plants all for sale. There were some food vendors selling ice cream, fish and chips, jamaican food, fresh salsas, plantain chips, dips/spreads, shaved ice, 
cupcakes and cake pops. Guess what Milo asked for? They had artists selling their paintings and stained glass work and a muscian playing the guitar and singing. We really had a great time! The best part of the day was the splash pad! The Market is right next to the splash pad and Milo asked if he could go play in the water. Knowing Milo and how he usually gets excited over something and then doesn't want to 
do it, I said okay thinking we won't be here long (we have been to the splash pad before and Milo refused to play in the water). Well, I was mistaken. We stayed at the splash pad for about an hour and even little Maddie girl got in on the action. I didn't bring bathing suits, sunscreen, or towels so Milo played in his shorts and Maddie in her diaper. I a tleast brought extra shorts and undies for Milo since he is almost fully potty trained and I wanted to make sure I had extra in case of an accident. We are planning on going back to the Market this weekend and hope to make it a weekly routine in order to save money and support our local farmers.

Nothing runs like a deer...
A John Deere that is. Milo got a John Deere tractor from my parents. He is so excited about this little tractor. He knows that he gets to ride it everytime we go over to my parents. We have even let him drive Maddie around. He is still having a little trouble turning but he is working on it.
An Apple for the Teacher
We had an exciting day today! Well, at least I did. I have been wanting to put Milo in a three year old program for next year for a couple of days. I have been thinking that this will help him (and me) transition better into the VPK program when he turns four. Early last fall, I called the Methodist Church here in town and put Milo's name on the waiting list. I have heard a lot of good things about their pre-school program and knew that getting Milo in for VPK would be hard. If you are accepted into their three year old program then you automatically get in for their VPK program. I was wanting to put him in for two half days a week so I have been axiously awaiting a phone call as they said they would know by the spring where they stand with those on the waiting list. Well, today I got that phone call and...... Milo got in! I am so super excited. I ran into the office to tell Mike and was jumping up and down. He will start this September and go for two half days. It was exactly what I had been hoping and praying for!!
Week In Review
Last week was a busy week and I didn't have the time to sit and post each day so I thought I would do a week in review. Last Monday, we took Maddie into Orlando to Leu Gardens to get her 9 month pictures taken. Kinda late I know but we got an amazing deal through a friend so we packed up the car and all headed out. I will post those pictures when I get them back from the photographer. We grabbed lunch at Jason's Deli with some friends afterwards. That place is amazing! I have been craving their Turkey/Guacamole wrap ever since then! Afterwards, we drove by the house I grew up in and it brought back so many memories! 
On Tuesday, I headed to Zellwood to work and Mike watched the kids all day. But the best part of the day was Geek Squad showed up and fixed our dryer!!!! Almost two weeks, with no dryer felt like an eternity! Laundry was piled up everywhere. We are still trying to get all the loads done and folded and put away. On Wednesday, Maddie and I went to MOPS while Mike and Milo hung out at home. I am the Discussion Group Leader at my table and have a really nice group this year. That night, we went over to some friends house so that Milo and their son, Caleb, could play together. It was our normal small group night but since our leaders just had a baby girl, so we are taking a couple of weeks off. 
Thursday was a busy day, Mike had a Dr. apt in the morning. When he got home, we loaded the kids in the car and suprised Granma at work with some chocolate for her birthday. Once home, Mike headed out to the chiropractor for an initial visit. We had some friends come over for Pizza for dinner and visited with them for a while. Milo enjoyed playing with their two little girls. I worked in Zellwood on Friday, and my dad came over to spend sometime with the kids and help Mike. We had stuffed shells and shrimp for dinner to celebrate my mom's 60th Birthday! Maddie loved the shells and Milo didn't touch them, of course. 
Saturday, we went out to Oveido to have a cookout with my cousins. On the way there, Milo had to pee and we were on the interstate so we made our first ever pit stop on the side of the road for Milo to go pee pee! haha! At least he told us and didn't pee in his car seat. That would have been gross! Sunday, the kids and I slept in as I wasn't feeling well. Mike went to chuch since he is ushering all this week. We ended the week by having breakfast for dinner that night. I made cinnamon roll waffles! They are seriously amazing!!! Opening Day
Saturday was opening day for spring training and Milo's first trip to the ballpark! 
I think to say that Mike was excited would be an understatement. He was so thrilled to be taking his little boy to his first real baseball game. We have been talking about the game for a few weeks now to get Milo excited. He would walk around the house saying, "I go to a aseball game with daddy, mommy." The b didn't quite make it out everytime he would try to say baseball. 
Milo wore his Red Sox shirt, since he doesn't have a short sleeve generic baseball shirt. Grabbed his glove and ball and threw on the only hat that fit him. He was soooo excited. Mike and my father took Milo to the Washington Nationals vs Houston Astros game. 
While at the game during warm ups, one of the players saw Milo standing in the seats and threw a ball to a gentleman close to Mike and told him to give the ball to Milo specifically. Milo received a high five from another player and Mike got three autographs as well. 
They stayed till the 7th inning and then headed home. It turned out to be a really warm day and they all got sun burned really bad. They were sitting front row between home plate and the dugout so there was no protection all. Other than coming home a little crispy, it turned out to be a great day for a baseball game.

Milo has been having really bad allergies lately and on Friday he woke up with eyes almost completely swollen shut. I was at work in Zellwood and Mike was watching the kids and when Mike sent me the picture of his eyes, I immediately called the Dr. office to see if Milo could get in that day to make sure the swelling was from the allergies and not something more serious. I was a wreck with not being able to take Milo to the Dr. but was so relieved to know that Mike was able to take him. A few minutes before Milo's apt. time I received a text from Mike saying that they had arrived and were waiting for Milo's name to be called. He said that when they entered the lobby there was a little boy throwing a tantrum and the mother had to chase him in the outer lobby and then drag him down to the Dr. office. Milo looked up at Mike
and said "hey daddy, the boy is crying, no want to go through the big door to go doctor". Such an observant little three year old! About ten minutes later Mike texted me again and told me that they were waiting in the room to be seen by the Dr. and that Milo told him he was not allowed to talk because the Dr. was coming. Milo proceeded to have a half hour monologue to himself and to Mike about the Dr. Mike texted me part of his monologue. It goes a little like this, "oh daddy, I hear the doctor, quiet daddy, oh look there's a snow bear on the wall, Milo sleepy, oh wait see, Milo hear the doctor." haha! The Dr. said that the swelling was from allergies from all the fires and really warm winter we have been having and that a lot of her patients are having problems right now. She ordered three allergy tests so Mike decided to take Milo to get his blood drawn after the appointment. 
Milo doesn't like when people touch him or put things on him and normally taking him to the Dr. for a checkup is an ordeal, so when Mike told me that he was going to get blood drawn, I was incredibly happy then that I was not the one taking Milo to the Dr. that day. Milo sat in Mike's lap and when he saw the butterfly needle said "oh look it's pink". Right before they stuck him, Mike distracted him and had him look at something on the wall. When Milo felt the stick he looked down and said "oh what's that". He never cried. He proceeded to tell the tech and the other two staff members, that were in the room to help hold Milo down which he didn't need, all about how Thomas was blue, Percy was green, and James is red and black. Milo did excellent and was so much better than I would have ever imagined! I guess my little boy is growing up! What a little trooper we have. As a treat for doing so well at the doctor's, Mike took Milo to his favorite place, Chick-fil-A, for apple juice, chicken nuggets, and french fries.
